Carrot is the healthy vegetable but kids doesn't like to eat as a sabji(even we😀). So I thought Lets make a paratha with carrot. Then I thought why don't add cheese in this which is rich in calcium and protein. Then I added peas for nice green color😊. Finally paratha recipe is ready with carrot, cheese and peas and my little one said big yes for the recipe yeah she loved it.

Ingredients Needed
Chapathi Dough
Wheat flour-1Cup
Curd-2tbsp
Water-1/4cup+2tbsp
Salt-as needed
Paratha Stuff
Grated Carrot-2medium size
Cooked green peas-1/4cup
Grated cheese-2tbsp
Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp
Red Chili Powder-1/2tsp
Coriander Powder-1tsp
Garam masala Powder-1/4tsp
Lemon juice-1tbsp
Salt-as needed
Oil-1tsp
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Butter-for brushing parathas
Preparation
- Make the chapathi/Paratha dough ready and keep it aside. Visit my link to make chapthi/paratha softer How to make soft chapathi/paratha.
- Take 2medium size carrot and grate it & boil 1/4cup green peas and keep it ready. Heat the kadai with a tsp of oil add 1tsp of cumin seeds allow it to splutter
- Add grated carrot to this and fry it for few minutes. Color of the carrot starts to change
- Add 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder, 1/2tsp Red chili Powder, 1tsp Coriander Powder, 1/4tsp Garam masala Powder to this and mix it well
- Once the raw smell of the masala goes, add cooked green peas
- Mash the green peas well. If not stuff will come out from paratha. Add necessary salt to it and mix it well.
- Add 1tbsp Lemon juice and mix it well. Keep the stuffing aside
- Take a ball size dough and roll it and keep it aside in a plate. Take another ball size dough, roll it
- Keep the carrot peas stuff in the middle of the chapathi & add grated cheese to this
- Take the another rolled chapathi & keep it on the stuff and seal on the edges carefully
- Dust the paratha with flour on both sides & roll it carefully. Roll on the edges to make parathas slimmer
- Heat the non stick tawa and brush it with butter
- Put paratha on the tawa and cook it slowly to ensure even cooking on both sides
- Carrot peas cheese paratha is ready
Notes
- Mash the green peas well or if you are not comfortable with green peas u can skip it too
- Cheese rich in protein so I added if you don't like you can skip it too
- You can add grated paneer also to this to enrich the flavor
- If you wish you can add finely chopped onions too to the recipe
