Soft Chapathi | How to make Soft chapathi - Naughty Little BEES Kitchen
Its always have been a challenge to make a chapathi/phulka/roti dough softly. Small trick will give you the soft chapthi without any doubt.The gentle pressure with your hands will help you with this. If you want to make bulk for parties or cooking for guests then divide your flour and make two portions to avoid more work and more effort and of-course more pressure👍. When you use this dough for parathas you will get nice yellowish parathas whicch will be the feast for your eyes too.

Ingredients needed
Wheat flour - 1 cup*
Curd- 1 tbsp
salt - as needed
Water -1/4 cup + 2 tsp
Oil-1/2 tsp
*1Cup-240ml
Preparation
- Take a mixing bowl and add 1cup of wheat flour to it
- Add salt and give a mix with the dry ingredients. Add 1tbsp of curd and mix it well
- Add the 1/4cup of water little by little and knead it well. You can add 2 more tsp of water if you need it. Be cautious about adding the water to the dough.Give the good pressure with your 👊. It will give you completely soft dough
- Finally pour 1/2tsp of oil in your palm and knead the dough well with your oily hands.Now your chapathi is ready reat for 20-30 mins. Prepare chapathi after 1/2 hour resting time.
Notes
- Using curd make your chapathi soft and give nice yellow color when you make parathas
- Keep the dough aside for minimum 20mins before making chapathi
- Cover it well with the plate or nice cotton cloth till use
