Moong dal dosa is the simple, quick and protein rich breakfast/Dinner recipe. This protein rich dosai with simple chutney would be great for your hurry morning & satisfies your healthy craving too. Especially for kids this protein rich dosa keep them active till lunch hour. You can soak this in night and use it on next day morning breakfast or you can soak it in afternoon & can be used for dinner too.

Ingredients Needed
Yellow Moong dal-1cup*
Raw Rice-2tbsp
Idly/Dosa Rice -2tbsp
Red Chilies-3to4
Hing-a generous pinch
Ginger-1inch piece
Salt-as needed

*1Cup-240ml

Preparation
  1. Take a bowl, 1cup of Yellow Moong dal,2tbsp of Raw rice,2tbsp of Idly/Dosa rice, 3to4 red chilies & keep everything ready
  2. Add Moong dal, Raw rice, Idly/dosa rice in the bowl & wash it twice
  3. Soak dal & Rice mixture with red chilies in the water for minimum 3 hours to maximum 5hours
  4. Take 1inch ginger piece with red chilies in the blender and blend it into coarse paste
  5. Drain the water from the dal & rice mixture, add this to the blender. Add 1/4tsp hing & needed salt.
  6. Blend it to the smooth batter. While blending add 1/4cup+2tbsp water little by little. Now the batter is ready.
  7. Transfer it into the bowl
  8. Heat the dosa tawa, when it is hot, brush it with little oil, spread the dosa batter evenly on the tawa
  9. Add finely chopped onion & grated carrot to this.Pour little oil. Allow it to cook for 2minutes. After 2 minutes flip the dosa on the another side & cook it
  10. Serve hot with any of your favorite chutney
Notes
  1. Adding onion & carrot enhance the flavor you can skip it & make plain dosa as well
  2. You can add finely chopped coriander leaves & tomatoes & capsicum too
  3. Always pulse blender in the first speed else it will create more heat & spoils the taste of the batter
  4. To avoid heating of blender use ice water instead of normal water
