Aloo paratha | How to make Aloo Paratha - Naughty Little BEES Kitchen
Aloo paratha is all time favorite for everyone especially for kids right? yeah you are right so this recipe is big hit in our house we do prepare it when I am so tired and don't have any idea what to prepare for either brunch or lunch. Small small alternations in the traditional aloo recipe will take it to the next level and no doubt your kid will love it too. Many people suffer with the method of making soft paratha dough. Ingredients Needed
Potato-4 medium size
Onion-1 medium size
Turmeric Powder-1/2 tsp
Red chili Powder-1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder-1 tsp
Garam masala Powder-1/4 tsp
Kasoori methi dry-few
Curry leaves(finely chopped)-few
To Temper
Oil-1/2 tsp
Jeera/cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Preparation
- Boil the potatoes in the pressure cooker for 4 whistles. Allow the pressure to goes off, open the pressure cooker and peel off the skin from the potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes well and keep it ready.Heat the pan with the little oil, throw some cumin seeds allow it to splutter add the finely chopped curry leaves
- Add mashed potatoes in the pan. Add the masala powders one by one except kasoori methi.Add finely chopped onions and salt to it, give a gentle mix.
- Add crushed kasoori methi to it. Mix everything well. Now the stuffing is ready
- Take a small ball of chapathi dough and gently roll it, keep it aside and take another small ball of chapathi and gently roll this too.
- Keep the aloo stuff in the middle of the chapathi
- Place the another chapathi on this, gently seal the chapathi on the ends and gently roll this carefully by dusting the flour on each sides
- Heat the non stick tawa on the stove. Keep the flame low-medium heat, Cook the Paratha on the tawa, brush ghee on the both sides of paratha and cooks it well.
- Now Paratha is ready to serve. serve hot. We had with simple Dal Fry.
Notes
- You can simply add all the masala powders and make the very fast version of aloo paratha also.
- As I don't have coriander leaves I didn't add it to the recipe. If you have you can use finely chopped coriander leaves too
- You can simply had this recipe with any kind of pickle or raita or even plain curd
