Chocolate Poornam | Chocolate stuff for Kolukattai | How to make Chocolate Poornam | Kids friendly snack idea - Naughty Little BEES Kitchen

We used to prepare Thengai/Cocomut poornam or paruppu poornam for kolukattai. I was thinking to make little twist on this. Why don't we try it with chocolate flavor which is all time favorite of kids. But I deeply thought twice before making it whether I am going to make yummy recipe or collapsed one. Finally I ended up with the yummy recipe that I am going to present for you guys.It can be used as a stuff for kolukattai & poli. Shower your little one with love and yummy recipes.

Ingredients needed
Grated Coconut-1Cup*
Grated Jaggery-3/4Cup
Cardamom Powder-1/4tsp
Cocoa Powder-2tbsp
Water-1tbsp

*1Cup-240ml

Preparation
  1. Heat the kadai on the stove, pour 1tbsp water to it and add 3/4cup grated jaggery to this

  2. Allow it to boil till the jaggery completely dissolves.Filter the jaggery syrup for impurities 

  3. Heat the pan and add filtered Jaggery syrup and allow it to boil again.Add 1cup grated coconut and mix everything together

  4. Add 1/4tsp Cardamom Powder to this 

  5. Add 2tbsp Cocoa powder to this and mix it well

  6. Switch off the flame when all the water evoparates and the poornam starts seperating from the pan

  7. Transfer it to the bowl and serve as it is. Kids definitely like the flavor or you can stuff it in kolukattai and serve as chocolate kolukattai

Notes
  1. Instead of jaggery we can use sugar too but Jaggery version tastes greater than sugar thengai poornam
  2. Use the correct proportion of ingredients to get best results
