My mother used to say whenever we feel stomach ache its good to take Bitter Gourd juice or gives the water in which bitter gourd is boiled. But we always scared of bitterness in the vegetable😌.My little one could not understand these facts so I decided to make bitter gourd chips and want to make it as her favorite dish. This idea works very well and this chips became her favorite. We doesn't feel the bitterness in this recipe so not only for little-one, this became favorite even for us too. This recipe goes well with any variety rice, sambar satham, rasam satham or you can take as it is.

Ingredients needed
Bittergourd-1/2kg
Rice flour-1/4cup
Corn flour-2tbsp
Curd-2tbsp
Water-1tbsp(If needed)
Turmeric Powder-1/2tsp
Red chili Powder-3/4tsp
Coriander Powder-1tsp
Salt-as needed

Preparation
  1. Finely Chop 1/2kg bitter gourd into circle shape as shown in the below picture & take out the seeds from the center.
  2. Take the circle shaped bitter gourds in the bowl add 1/4cup Rice flour,2tbsp Corn flour, 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder,3/4tsp Red chili Powder,1tsp Coriander Powder, needed salt.
  3. Toss the bowl well until all the masalas coat the bitter gourds.
  4. Add 2tbsp Curd to this and toss it well. If it is dry yet add 1tbsp water to this and toss this well. If the flour sticks in the bottom mix it with the spoon.
  5. Close it keep aside for 15 minutes. After 15minutes heat the oil in the kadai, once the oil is hot drop one piece of bitter gourd it should raise immediately. Drop few pieces of bitter gourd & deep fry it.
  6. Dry it in the paper towel.
  7. Bitter gourd chips is ready. Serve as a side dish for any variety rice, sambar satham, rasam satham.
Notes
  1. Avoid mixing it with hands it might spoil the shape of the vegetable.
  2. Add water if needed else skip it
  3. Drop the bitter gourd pieces only if the oil is hot enough, If not it might drink oil and doesn't give crispy chips
