Pineapple Jam | Annachi pazha Jam | How to make Pineapple jam at home - Naughty Little BEES Kitchen
I had a thought of making healthy jam version in house as my little-bee always font of those recipes yes like all kids she is also big fan of jam and ketchup. Usually we had fruits at night which is healthy in this season we got pineapple. My husband is also big fan of pineapple so I thought why don't we make pineapple jam for two kids😉. So here I am presenting you the no preservative as well as no food color version of jam recipe which takes only 15 minutes to prepare. Use the ripe pineapple for the best results.
Dish Name: Pineapple Jam Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cuisine: Serves: 500g Jar
Sugar - 1 cup*
Lemon juice-2 tbsp
salt- a pinch
Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
*1Cup-240ml
Preparation
- Wash the ripe pineapple well and cut down the head and tail of it. Take out the skin carefully from the fruit like this and then chop the fruit into cubes by removing the center part of it
- Put the finely chopped pineapple cubes in the blender and grind it to the paste.Heat the heavy bottom kadai in the stove and pour pineapple paste
- Add 1cup of sugar to that and mix it well.Keep the flame medium
- Mix it well until the sugar dissolves and forms little thick gravy consistency. It takes 10-15 minutes
- Switch off the flame and add lemon juice
- Allow it to cool. Take a clean airtight container and store the cooled pineapple jam in it. Keep it in the refrigerator it will be good for 10 days. Use the dry and clean spoon to take jam to maintain its shelf life
- Enjoy your jam with any kind of bread😋
Notes
- As I prepared larger quantity you see the pictures with 2 pineapple. You can make little quantity first then you can go for large quantity its your wish. You can increase the proportion of the ingredients as per your need
- You can make it with either jaggery or brown sugar to make it more healthier
- If you like you can add yellow food color a pinch instead of turmeric powder
